Practiced a bit of show shutter shooting on one of the main thoroughfares through our city.

Having just learned how male gorillas provoke one another, Calissa demonstrates at the meal table.

We enjoyed a wonderful wedding ceremony and reception today as a couple from our church committed themselves to a lifetime of love and faithfulness.  I took the opportunity to work on my photography skills, in between looking after the children and enjoying conversing with friends.  I really liked this shot I snuck in as the couple awaited their entrance into the reception behind the bridal party, it captured their happiness on the occasion “off camera” (or so they thought).

On Friday nights, when we host a Bible study in our home, Bethany often ends up staying up later than the others — I suppose her social bug kicks in and she doesn’t want to sleep.

Or perhaps it’s cuz she wants to sneak up to the snacks and quietly climb up on her brother’s chair and on her tippy-toes reach for the popcorn in the bowl! =-)

Despite appearances, my son does not have superhuman hand strength.  He’s hamming it up for the camera after their mom and they did a science experiment crushing cans by heating up a little water in the can on the stove, and then quickly immersing it in a pot of cold water.

Matthew poses joyfully with his brand-new teenie beanie baby elephant (dubbed “Bobo”) which replaced the one he inexplicably lost during our vacation last week.

I have no recollection of the context of this photo, but the pose & face are self-explanatory.

Calissa, along with her siblings, occupies herself playing with raw tortilla dough during a recent visit to a Chevy’s restaurant, each of which features El Machino, where flour tortillas are made fresh from scratch; and from which kind employees offer eager children their own “play-dough,” literally!

Little Bethany indulged on our friend’s leftover dinner.  ‘Nuff said.
